UCA business awards - The High Res
The time has come for me to share, from a place of realism, pragmatics, intelligence, dynamic creativity and evolution.
Part one: Evolution
With the news in the UK that the PM moved the elections to July, this leaves room for newness. The opportunity lies in sharing with the new powers that be, by voting for what you want to see in the world.
For the first time I have felt empowered to not have to vote too strategically, which is refreshing, I'm looking forward to some change, even if it is glacial. For the future of both business and the human race, we need to be working way more dynamically and that includes politics. Indeed, when I read into the works of the master systems leaders, they have little hope for this old style of ''leadership'' and I am inclined to agree with them. For a new future we need to look at the very systems that we are all involved in.
I believe we as the collective can actually show this future, I see in my work and reading in new economics and systems that we cannot wait for most of the worlds governments to move, some of their policies will indeed aid and be the nudge that we need to move generic businesses of the past.. However new businesses, new communities, new collaboratives and new decentralised economies will not be based on this past as the intentions are completely different.
The world will go on if we are gone, we must work on our ability to live into it.
It is a basic thing inside business that we teach, lecture and advise our brands and students to be aware politically what is moving, how it will effect our businesses, how to pivot, this for the foreseeable future will be a part of our worlds until we all drive enough momentum and collective will to change those systems.
If that all a bit heavy, read on, I have been writing some great ed ops with basics on circularity and sustainability in the fashion domain which i will link later on.

Photo: A 'Radicle'- I was on a podcast this last month with the great Jose Leal & we discussed my work in our collaborative The Ecosystem Incubator. I shared that there was now little tiny shoots of creations coming in, he shared that this is called a 'Radicle', spelt differently to the Radical of Radical World his movement - but a great image that with some things we are really at the start of this 'emergence'. Loved the podcast as it reminded me of the source of change, the Regenerative leadership that I have been a part of for 4 years. So pleased that Jose will be speaking at the end of whats shaping up to be a glorious Real Circularity summit, (more about that later)
I have also been discussing this change making with the guys at Sustained Futures, where i was interviewed and discussed the decentralised futures that i would love to see, alas probably not in my lifetime, thats what we have cathedral thinking for.
Into July, I will be also discussing new business models in the roundtable in Paris at TexWorld .. the title is ''Developing initiatives to revolutionise fashion products''. If you are due in Paris, link up, Ill be at Tex World and Premier Vision.
So, Ok whilst we 'Incubate' these initiatives and ideas ---- (indeed if you are interested in anyone other than yourself do join us in our Ecosystem today - it costs you a tenner a month & you can't buy a slice of salmon for less than that these days - go vegan and forget the salmon - join us to create a new future)
The Ecosystem Incubator is a collaborative, and we have started to co-create new businesses, collaborative marketing, buying/creation and collective intelligence, at first in our beloved domain of fashion, with mirco players who want to work on dynamics in their business and together work on the larger picture. If you are a micro player that wants to work on the larger plan together? Check it out. .
Part two: Pragmatism
So, I will try again, Ok whilst we Incubate these things --- then let's see what we can do right now in reality, the cold light of the world in the present moment.
We have created our Real Circularity work for just that, to get real and get on with the work inside business as usual to create dynamic businesses and careers that move with the times.

Real Circularity Academy
If you are a business, link with us for consultancy, coaching or Academy for your teams, via our Real Circularity at Circular Earth work.
Ken Alston is the lead on the application of Real Circularity, and is a forgotten legend, he worked with the original Cradle to Cradle creators and was involved in many projects throughout that time and with other large multinationals.
Of course I am there with my domain knowledge, new systems dynamics and new economic ideas. Grounded in reality.
Stop tick boxing and start actually creating change in your business that will set you up for the future.
Part Three: Creativity
We have created our Real Circularity Summit, It is a space where there is no power dynamics. A space where you are welcome as a global business leader and as a micro innovator or business owner, and everywhere in between.
We work on new measures of success, not just those of only economic growth, but those of new innovations, on great iterations .... hence our summit is not pay to play, it will not be skewed by paying company visions.
We have created this with our own connections, and own sweat.
Our Key Note speakers are - Tricia Carey of Renewcell, speaking of the current state of play in circular fibers & Michael Werner, head of Circularity at Google..
Join us for the summit June 21st 10am - 11pm UK time / Join on in at 6am-5pm US time
The Real Circularity Summit
We will be also inviting our collaborative from the Incubator ''Sanja Stories'' a collective jean brand creation with Regenerative roots from product, to business model and economics, where the customer becomes a part of the story.

The garment is modular and the knees and pocket bags are replaceable If you are in the UK or India you can pre-order now and be a part of the first story.
Last but not least, I have been working on some ed-ops and collaborative blogs, the first one with Pure London x JATC london.. It has been great to get into the brand and retailer mindset. I have been breaking the work down into bitesize pieces, I am aware that it can be super confusting, as circulartiy is a complex subject. I will be hosting some of the sessions during the tradeshow in July (14th to 16th) so come on down and see us live, have a chat and a coffee with me, our team and im sure some of our Alumni will be present.
