Clothing Longevity

Longevity needs to be built into a circular product and design.  The item needs to be designed to be modular (easy to repair and replace parts) .  It needs to have long wearing fabric or materials without compromising on toxicity or cycle-ability .  It needs to be designed to be adjusted in the case of garments so that the wearer / user can wear it in many stages of life.

One large thing is that an item must live in our hearts if it can , for something like clothing and furniture in particular we need to work on establishing 'emotional durability' for the wearer/user.

This approach has also been recognised by The Independent, which featured Circular Earth's work on designing clothing that stays in use for longer and explores how adaptable garments can reduce unnecessary replacement.
